The Tulip Photography Experience is designed for couples and families visiting the Netherlands during tulip season. Choose between Keukenhof and beautiful visitor tulip gardens in the Tulip Region, around 40–60 minutes from Amsterdam.
I help you choose the right location and timing based on your travel dates, the flowers in bloom, and the kind of experience you want.
2027 tulip season: Keukenhof opens March 18–May 9. For the best chance of seeing tulips in bloom, I recommend planning your session between early April and early May.

Where are the tulip gardens?
The Tulip Region, known as the Bollenstreek, is around 40–60 minutes from Amsterdam and is home to Keukenhof, visitor tulip gardens, and working flower fields.
For photography sessions, I work only in places where visitors are welcome. Production fields are private farmland and should not be entered without permission. Visitor gardens give us the chance to walk among the flowers and photograph them closely without damaging the crop.
Keukenhof is the best-known option, but it isn't the only one. I can help you choose the right garden based on your dates, the flowers in bloom, and the experience you prefer.

Visiting the Tulip Region Thoughtfully
The tulip fields of the Bollenstreek are working farms, where flowers are grown primarily for bulb production. To protect the crop, I photograph only in visitor tulip gardens and fields that officially welcome visitors.
These locations allow us to create beautiful photographs among the flowers while respecting and supporting the growers who shape this landscape each spring.

Your Tulip Photography Experience

Tulip Photography Experience - €550
Including VAT
Choose your preferred date and starting time, and reserve it with the Essential Collection (€550). This includes a 45-minute photography session, so if Essential is all you need, your session is already paid in full.
After booking, we’ll have a personal planning call to choose the best location and timing for your trip. If you decide that Storybook or the Lifestyle Route suits you better, your €550 payment will be credited in full, and you’ll only pay the remaining balance.

Locations and timing are selected during your planning call based on your travel dates, bloom conditions, availability, and group size. When private-field access is available for your date and group size, it may be considered as one of your locations.
Garden admission and transportation are not included. During your planning call, I’ll help you coordinate the best options for your chosen location.
For larger groups, 45 minutes is still possible, but the session will be more focused. Group size affects how much we can move around the location, the variety of photographs we can create, and how much time we have for natural, unposed moments. If you would like a more relaxed experience with greater variety, Storybook may be a better fit.

How to Book your Tulip Experience
1. Reserve your date: Book your Tulip Photography Experience for €550. This fully covers the Essential Collection and secures your date.
2. Plan it together: We’ll have a personal planning call to choose the location, timing, and collection that best fit your trip.
3. Upgrade only if you want to: If you choose Storybook or Lifestyle Route, your €550 is credited toward it, and you’ll receive an invoice for the remaining balance.
4. I’ll take care of the photography planning: Closer to your session, I’ll check bloom conditions and confirm the final photography plan with you.
Crafting Calm in a Busy Place
Keukenhof can be busy, but your photographs don't have to feel that way. Careful positioning during the session and small refinements in post-production help me create images that keep the focus on you and the moment.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are the tulip fields in Amsterdam?
No. Most tulip fields and gardens are in the Tulip Region (Bollenstreek), around 40–60 minutes from Amsterdam. Keukenhof and several visitor tulip gardens are located in this area. During your planning call, I’ll help you choose the best location and transportation option for your session.
Is transportation from Amsterdam included?
My travel to the Tulip Region is included in your photography experience. Your own transportation and garden entrance tickets are separate.
During your planning call, I’ll help you choose the best way to reach your location, whether you prefer public transportation or a private transfer.
Can we visit two tulip locations during our session?
Yes. The Storybook Collection allows up to two nearby tulip locations within the 2-hour experience. Travel time between locations is included in the session time, and we’ll choose the best combination during your planning consultation.
Do I need to pay extra for an engagement proposal at Keukenhof or another tulip garden?
No. Proposal planning is included in your Tulip Photography Experience. During our planning call, we’ll choose the location, timing and proposal plan together.
If you would like exclusive access to a private tulip field, an additional location fee may apply. I’ll discuss this with you during the planning call based on availability and your dates.
Can we split the session across different days?
No. Each collection takes place on one day. If you would like photography on more than one day, each day is booked separately.
Can we do a video during our photo session?
Yes. For sessions of 90 minutes or longer, I can capture a few short video clips with the DJI Osmo Pocket alongside your photographs. A dedicated content creation add-on is also available if you would like more video coverage.
Do you do a shorter sessions in Keukenhof or any other tulip garden?
Yes. The Essential Collection is a 45-minute session in one tulip location.
Can I reschedule my photo session?
Yes. You can reschedule up to 2 days before your session, subject to availability during the same tulip season.
Because bloom conditions change throughout spring, your final location may also be adjusted closer to the date to give you the best experience possible.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations made at least 30 days before your session are eligible for a partial refund. If your planning consultation has already taken place, the standard consultation fee will be retained, together with any non-refundable costs already incurred for your experience.
You may also choose to transfer your booking to the following tulip season instead.
Can we request modifications to the final pictures? What if I love some Black & White?
Yes. Your photographs are edited in my signature style, but you can request one round of light corrections after delivery.
Some photographs may also be delivered in black & white when I feel it works particularly well for the image. If you would love a few additional photographs in black & white, you’re welcome to ask.
Can I keep my photos private?
Yes. You are always in control of your privacy. You can choose to keep your entire gallery private, or you can allow me to share your photographs while keeping selected images private.
After your session, you’ll receive a personal password that allows you to select and mark any photographs you prefer not to be shared. There is no additional fee for either option.
