Documenting events during wedding days is a different approach from wedding photography. The photographer observes and captures everything happening around the wedding events, not only the expected ones. It is there, waiting for moments worth remembering, and sometimes the couple isn't even there, but their important ones are.

How do you know this is the style for you?

* You prefer to relax and enjoy yourself during your wedding. A timeline is not strict.

* You tell your photographer the essential members of your family. And groups are captured in a casual way instead of formal portraits.

* You prefer more natural reactions than posed pictures.

The wedding of Esther and Reinier was celebrated during Summer at the beach in a beautiful club Meijer aan Zee in Zandvoort. The space was decorated for the occasion, and we all waited for the bride and groom to arrive. At this time, the bride preferred not to be portrayed during the arrangements, so documentary images of the guest were the goal until they came. We celebrated a very romantic and intimate wedding, proceeded by a small gathering.

I believe in the importance of personal memories, to enjoy, celebrate, and share them first in your home with family and friends. As in all my collections, pictures are delivered only four weeks after to the couples, but posting on social media occurs only a few months later, giving them plenty of time to create and surprise their families with new memories.

The pictures you will see today were selected mainly by the couple as their favorites from a collection of 300 images. I enjoy giving them the option of choosing the ones they like first, and from them, I add a few extras to complete the story. This way, we can also see which memories are the most important for them.
