Elizabeth and Mason are a beautiful couple, they radiate a unique and pure love that can be felt when you are close to them. Their story is one of the prettiest I've had the honor of telling and I feel you will love it as much as I do.
They met in October 2015 in Texas (USA) and liked each other since they met. Everything between them was just looks and smiles and the occasional conversation, very short by the way because they blushed at just talking.
They met again between February and March 2016 when Elizabeth returned to Texas, but it was not until 4 days before she returned to Peru that Mason approached, after talking with Elizabeth's father, to ask if she would be interested to exchange written letters and so the story began .. Cute, right?
They communicated by letters, emails, calls and Skype videos where love arose. Mason has been Elizabeth's first and only love and from the first moment, they felt that unique connection that gives you have found the right person.
In October 2016, Elizabeth's family traveled to Texas again and that's when Mason asked for Elizabeth's hand in marriage. Super exciting !!! Her engagement ring has an amethyst, as she comments "it is certainly not traditional, but for me, it is the most beautiful jewel!" By the way, the ring was chosen together and was made by the same person who then made their wedding rings.
In November 2016 the wedding plans began. Mason already had the tickets to come to Peru at the end of November and she was looking for a photographer for their Engagement session and life brought us all three together.
"... and I found you! You don't know how much I looked and I finally looked for a gallery with photos that I really liked. Details that I wanted my photographer to capture at my wedding. Your photos had everything I wanted quality, colors, spontaneity, and explosions of emotion everywhere! Mason and I and my family still remember the day of our engagement session. It was too much fun! And you did a great job. "
After this trip, they were not able to see each other again until a week before the wedding. Amazing, right? I love their story !!! She told me this process like this:
"Thinking about it a bit, during our one-year relationship before we got married, Mason and I have seen very little face to face. Most of the time it was all by handwritten letters with paper and ink or through a cell phone screen. But you know, that made every moment that we could finally be together, every hug, every handshake, every look became a very valuable gift, I think that this can be seen in the engagement photos, thankful that we are being so close to each other. :) Now that we have lived together, I am still grateful to be so close to him. He is a wonderful boy, and I thank God for everything. "
A super important secret, this wedding was also the scene of their first kiss !!! just after being married, at the altar and in front of everyone. Then Elizabeth's brother asked Mason, "And what does the kiss taste like" and he said ... "Strawberries." Cute, right?
Thank you infinitely for the trust, for the love you have and for making every minute of the engagement trip and the wedding day a totally new experience for me and my entire team. You are an amazing couple !!!
Hugs to the family and many affections for you,
See you soon from the fairytale city of Amsterdam,
Joanna, your Amsterdam photographer
