I decided to go to the opening of the Alkmaar cheese market and posted on a Facebook group if anyone wanted to join. Then, it was a fantastic day photographing the market and sightseeing with new friends; planning to make some photography trips next year to create content together. If you are interested, let me know on DM through Instagram.
Some of these pictures are registered on Shutterstock and available for editorial purposes. Did you hear about Stock photography sites? These are the ones receiving images for resale for different purposes. You have two options: Commercial or Editorial. I usually use Editorial, which gives a limited use of my pictures for newspapers and magazines worldwide; with the difference, there is no need to have releases for the persons appearing in print. Instead, I usually cover main public events or add pictures from my photo walks.
The advantage of using this system regularly is that you will receive feedback on your pictures. For example, if there are blurry, they have spots, or they are over-edited, Shutterstock will tell you. This allows you to improve over time.
If you like photography and starting, I recommend checking Stock Photography sites and applying for contributions. If you have doubts or questions about it, send me a DMN on Instagram (@joannapantigoso), I'm so happy to help you navigate that world.
See you next time,
Joanna, your Photographer in Amsterdam
