We took these photographs at The Tulip Barn and beside a tulip field in the Keukenhof area, using an 85mm lens. In May 2021, admission to The Tulip Barn was €4 per person, with no time limit.

The garden is beautiful. Visitors can walk among the flowers, sit between the rows, and take photographs. This is worth noting because tulip fields are private property. Even when a field looks open, you must not enter without the owner’s permission.

I know several tulip gardens where visitors are welcome. If you want ground-level photographs or to walk between the flowers, I recommend choosing one of these gardens. This lets us enjoy the flowers while respecting the tulip growers’ work.

A bicycle is useful for exploring the area and reaching places that may be difficult to access by car or too far to walk to.

Tulip-field photo sessions in the Netherlands are usually possible from the last week of April to the first week of May, depending on the weather and how quickly the tulips grow. Booking your tulip photo session in advance gives me time to share updates on the flowers and help you choose the best time to visit.
