I had the absolute joy of photographing this beautiful multigenerational family on December 16th at 10:00 AM for a 60-minute session. Despite the brisk chill in the air, the love and connection between them brought the warmth, and their thoughtfully coordinated color palette made every frame pop.

This session was more than just a photo op. The family came with a clear vision: classic Amsterdam scenery with a candid, documentary-style feel. We explored charming bridges, peaceful canals, and character-rich corners of the Jordaan district, capturing the energy of the kids, the bond between generations, and the kind of moments that unfold naturally when everyone feels comfortable and seen.


Many people think winter isn’t the best time for outdoor sessions, but Amsterdam tells a different story. With soft light, fewer crowds, and the city's timeless façades glistening with winter charm, December can actually be one of the most photogenic times to shoot.
