"Joanna was simply amazing! She talked to us beforehand about what we wanted our shots to look like and captured them flawlessly! She's friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and made us feel comfortable with the process. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to book her." - Tammy.
Today I will take you to a winter afternoon around Negen Straatjes, the Nine Streets of Amsterdam. This area is lovely. You have more than a hundred protected monuments, you cross all the main canals, and you can visit small shops with various window displays. On dry days, we can sit on some benches, grab a coffee and keep walking. Exploring without the rush is what I love about making holiday photography in Amsterdam. It's the best between having a photo session and enjoying your vacation simultaneously.
I asked Tammy and her son about their favorite thing in Amsterdam. They said the beauty is that the city is walkable. You know the city is not too big, and we can walk around for several hours, looking at their buildings, crossing their bridges, stopping for a café. You can visit for a day or a week, and you can continue overlooking the beauty and visiting different places, very distinct from one another, and at the same time, wondering if you are walking in circles. Buildings are other with every canal you cross, and they tell the story. But at Negen Straatjes, distances are shorter due to the city's shape, making it the best scenario to have historical houses and views from different canals. So if you have only 30 minutes, this is the area to choose to make the most of your time.
Enjoy the ride, be careful with the bikes, and I hope you like this collection made with love for Flytographer.
