New week, a new story to tell. I have delivered the pictures of Shinta and Francisco, so happy for it and now for telling you a little more about them and about their amazing wedding in Amsterdam.
The most amazing part was how we met? Remember I'm just in Amsterdam for a few weeks now and there is a bit of advice I want to tell no matter the profession you are if you are changing location. First things first, list yourself on an international directory. I was already on Mywed.com and I only changed my location a few months before, because you know, weddings are usually booked a year in advance. She sent me a message through this site and then we talked about connecting online and all was magic since then.
They have a family wedding at Gemeente Amsterdam and then a dinner reception at Parallel Amsterdam. The ceremony was half in English and half in Dutch (I can't wait to start my Dutch classes in a few days) and even I couldn't understand the words of Mother of the Groom and one of Bride's best friends I felt they were so emotional, everyone went into happiness tears, it was so magical.
One of the characteristics of Amsterdam Weddings is the hammer. Gemeente lady told us, there is no need to sign the registry to know they are married, there are 2-4 witnesses and they have to hear the "Ja" or "I do" and that is all they needed to be married, but the confirmation is the hammer. Of course, there is the signing of the registry at the end :)
Here are some pictures of this lovely wedding in Amsterdam. Let me know if you are around and take some pictures in this lovely city.
Next week more tips & photos.
See you soon from the fairytale city of Amsterdam,
